2010 Golf Season

Welcome to the 2010 golf season!

Please check the web page tomorrow morning (Saturday) to see if the course is open for play. Depending upon the track that hurricane Earl takes, we may not open for the day. If that is the case all staff will be instructed to stay home so there will be no one in the pro shop, kitchen or on the course to take your phone calls. We will be making that decision at 6:00am on Saturday morning.

Congratulations to Jim London for recording a hole in one on the 17th hole during Tuesday morning seniors day.
Tee times will be starting at 7:00am every day from now until Sept 8th when the tee times will begin at 8:00 am every day. The pro shop currently opens and bookings are taken at 6:30 every morning. That will change to 7:30 as of Sept 6th.
The senior shotguns will be at 9:00 every Tuesday beginning Sept 7.
Also note that due to large turnouts, the Tuesday morning tee times will only be for senior men golfers from now on.
Green Fee Special Rate- Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays after 2:30 -2 green fees and a cart for $100
The final men's night of the year will be Sept 9th
The final Senior men's day & lunch will be Sept 28th
The final Ladies club closing & dinner will be Oct 3rd

Committee Studying the Kitchen and Pro Shop Usage
This committee met last week and have developed a survey to help them identify what can be done to offer the best possible service and increase sales in the kitchen and pro shop to make them profitable. Typically over the past 3-4 years both departments lost money and a good part of the membership dues paid each year went towards subsidizing them.
The committee asks that you take the time to fill out the survey which will be handed out by the starter on the first tee over the next 2 weeks beginning on Monday Aug 30.
Although putting your name on it is your choice, we ask that you only complete the survey once. It should only take 1-2 minutes to fill out, it can be done prior to teeing off and the survey forms will be deposited by you into a box upon completion.
Some of the questions on the survey ask if you use the kitchen facilities, if you use the pro shop facilities, are you satisfied with the products and service from either/both areas and ask for suggestions that will make you use both areas more.
The committee appreciates and thanks everyone for helping them in this project as they try and develop a strategy to bring forward to the Board of Directors.
