Aims & objectives:
(1) To organize weekly tournaments for the group who play for the love of the game,and wish to vary their scope of playing partners while enjoying the friendship of their peers.
(2) To organize Inter Club Tournaments with other local golf clubs.
Committee:
The Committee shall consist of a Chairman, a Secretary / Treasurer ( both elected at the annual meeting in the fall of each year), and other members for the committee deemed necessary to properly run all functions of the Hampton Senior Men's Group, ie a statistician or special events.
Membership Regulations & Dues:
Open to all seniors that are 55 years of age, or fully retired male members that pay an annual fee set at the Annual Meeting, and play with the group on a regular basis.
The monies collected by the committee will be used for yearly expenses, and to subsidize the end of year luncheon. The committee will end the season with a minimum balance in the account.
Rules of play & Inter Club Competitions regulations:
The rules of golf shall be used at all times for regular play except:
To promote faster play a ball which enters the woods, or crosses the out of bounds stakes may be played from a drop point of two club lengths from the point where the ball entered the woods, or the out of bounds stakes. There will be a penalty of one stroke added to your score.
Only registered & qualified members of the Hampton Senior Men's Group may play in the interclub competitions. To be a "qualified member" you must have played at least twice with the group prior to each event scheduled. The Tri-Club schedule is normally ; Westfield--mid June, Hampton-- mid July, and Riverside--first of September.
PRIZES:
All prize winners for all senior competitions will receive the following:
(1) H.G.C. gift certificates,
(2) merchandise from the H.G.C. Pro Shop, or
(3) credit to a member's shop account.
NOTE: This will include the weekly closest to hole, skins competitions and scrambles, etc.There will be no money being exchanged between the committee, and members for prizes.
WEEKLY REGULATIONS:
(1) The regular day of play is TUESDAY.
(2) The sign up sheet is to completed by Friday prior to the playing day.
(3) Cancellations: (A) whole group--the Pro Shop will be informed ASAP by the committee so if in doubt call 832-3407. (B) individual members : please call 849-2057, or email the Chairman (fraudster98@hotmail.com ASAP to alleviate empty spaces in the draw, especially in team events.
(4) All score cards must be placed in the "BOX" (in men's locker room) for calculation of handicaps by the statistician.
(5) Players must post all scores in the club's computer in order to establish a proper handicap.
