2020 Membership Information

Dear Shareholders and Members,

Last year proved to be a very challenging year for the Hampton Golf Club. A late opening and poor spring weather contributed to a less than stellar start to the golfing season but despite that, our Lifestyle Memberships were a tremendous success. We saw over 150 members purchase one of the five types of Lifestyle Memberships. Our total membership increased from 605 in 2018 to of 615 in 2019. Certainly a positive trend considering that golf in New Brunswick and Canada has continued to decline in participation.

In 2020, we will have some major changes in the operation of the food & beverage.

The Board of Directors and I would also like to express our deep appreciation to Krista and Derek McCallum who have overseen the operation for the last five years. Krista and Derek have decided to move on from the operation and will enjoy having a summer off, visiting their son Kale in Montreal, among other activities. Thanks again Krista & Derek.

We are pleased to announce a new business in the community. Joanna Aylward from the Grass Roots Grill will be the new tenant at Hampton Golf Club, for at least the next three years. The business has been operating at Westfield Golf & Country Club since 2015. Joanna brings years of experience to the club and we are all looking forward to the new business operation.

The Grass Roots Grill, in partnership with The Hampton Golf Club, is committing to a complete overhaul of the existing bar and grill as we transition to a full-service restaurant. New décor, featuring new tables, chairs and flooring, are just some of the changes that golfers will see this year. The restaurant will be open from April to December.

We hope you will all come out and support the Grass Roots Grill in this new venture. With that in mind all adult memberships will have a food and beverage credit included in the 2020 membership dues. $100.00 per year for Unlimited Members and $50.00 per year Restricted Members, to use in the restaurant. In addition, the Grass Roots Grill has offered a 10% bonus to the restaurant credit. The credit can be used in the restaurant, on the beverage cart and also at Grass Roots Grill, Westfield.

Hope to see everyone out for the Open House on April 11^th and also enjoy the Opening of the Grass Roots Grill at Hampton Golf Club.
